Roadstars know that Traffic islands are useful for crossing wider roads
Wider roads can be harder to cross safely, and Traffic islands are very useful for this.
Always make sure the first part of the crossing is completely free of traffic before walking to the island, where you can wait for the second part to become clear before crossing to the other side.
